About Me 

Hello, my name is Stellan Glock.  I'm in 10th grade and i'm in this class because it seemed really interesting to me.  Last year one of my friends took this class and from what they told me about it they said that it was fun and they learned how to edit their audio and edit their animations a lot better.  I am trying to learn the same thing so I joined to see if it would help me do the same.  It was a bit confusing at first but i'm slowly starting to get the hang of it.  The class lets me share stuff that I am interested in like horror movies, my drawings and other stuff!  So far I've mainly shown my interest for horror movies in one of our most recant assignment.  I plan on showing my interests for games (mainly horror of course) and even a certain web-comic I read called Homestuck if I ever get the chance to.  I'm usually a bit all over the place due to my ADHD but I still try my best to focus and pay attention!  But I still tend to zone out and end up procrastinating.  When it comes to certain assignments I do sometimes tend to go a bit overboard with my ideas and concepts for it.  I try to fit it all into one thing but it usually doesn't go well.  So I sit there for about ten minutes to actually stop and think it over.  Once I've done that I actually start to do the work and it tends to come out much better.  I do sometimes tend to ramble whenever someone talks to me or when I have to write my own stuff about me.  I am trying to fix that but it does still tend to happen.  So far one of my favorite moments in this class has to be when our teacher said "I'm sorry that i'm going to be the reason why you yell at your screen, pointing out all the angles you see." I was muted but as I sat there and giggled I said "Don't be sorry, I already do that when watching horror movies. Only i'm yelling at the characters for making dumb choices."  Sorry if I got a bit off track but it seems that our time here is up.  I'll see ya'll next time, peace.

Creative Critical Reflection: Music Video

  Creative Critical Reflection 1.   1.  . How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or  issues? m  My video challenges conventions by showing two boys falling in love, instead of the typical guy/girl dynamic. It shows two guys slowly getting to know each other and growing closer, just like how real world relationships work. It also shows it in a romantic, innocent way versus how gay relationships are often portrayed in the media. The way gay relationships are portrayed in the media tend to be typically negative, secretive, and/or "dirty", and involve sex versus shy, innocence and hand holding.       It represents social groups because it represents gay youths and uses trans and non-binary people in the filming. Representation is important. Seeing romantic relationships between LGBTQ people should be normalized. We need to see more relationships like this portrayed like this in the media. If i...

Final Task - Opening Title Sequence

After several days of filming and even more days of editing, I have created a finished product that I am happy with. In retrospect, I wish I had filmed more takes and that the energy in the scenes was a bit livelier. Looking back the parts that I thought would be easy were incredibly hard, and the parts I thought would be a breeze, really made me stumble and slowed me down. I hope you enjoy my opening title sequence.
