Production - Editing/Reviewing Final Task #10

First I showed my sequence to my family. While they were supportive, they pointed out several issues. Most of the issues had to do with how scenes went from one to another. They also pointed out some issues with the readability of the titles.  They also pointed out that I had forgotten to add the music to my sequence. I cannot believe I had completely forgotten to add the music. If I am being honest with myself, I agreed with all of their criticisms. I knew those parts weren't the best. Next, I showed my friends....who also pointed out that I forgot the music. They had similar criticisms as my family, but really had the biggest issues with the font of the titles and the speed in which they moved on and off screen. They said you just can't read it and it is really confusing. I was really trying hard not to take it personally, but it was hard. I worked really hard on my sequence and didn't think it needed that much tweaking. I knew there were problems, I just did not realize how many. I did manage to suck it up and really listen to what they had to say. I made sure to keep notes, highlighting any particular issues that really stood out. Ones that were repeated over and over again. As I watched the sequence with them, I also noted issues that I saw, that I hadn't noticed while editing. It is pretty crazy what you see when looking at something with fresh eyes. Like the missing music! How could I have forgotten that?
